2010. That was a year that happened, huh? Remember all that stuff? Well, we can't, because we were busy watching comedy videos online all year.
However, despite our extremely limited understanding of the year that just ended, we'd be happy to show you a little bit about our area of expertise. We'll start off with the year's ten most viewed comedy videos of YouTube, and then share ten more personal favorites that might have attracted less eyeballs, but earn just as many laughs. If not more. But don't hold us to that.

1. The Gregory Brothers - Bed Intruder Song
The Gregory Brothers went viral in 2009 with their "Auto-Tune the News" series, but rode the waves of two of the Top Memes of 2010 – Antoine Dodson and Double Rainbow – to two smash-hit auto-tuned songs. Click above for Antoine, or here for the Double Rainbow Song.
2. The Annoying Orange
The citrus equivalent to Fred, the Annoying Orange the star of a terrifying-looking series of animations. This channel had fourteen videos with over 10 million views last year - if I counted them separately they would encompass nearly the entire top ten, so I've linked to the channel instead. You don't have to go, unless you feel that after ten years you still haven't had enough "Wazaaaap" jokes.
3. I Just Had Sex
After a slow start to SNL's 36th season, Andy Samberg and his compatriots from The Lonely Island, Akiva Schaffer and and Jorma Taccone, "I Just Had Sex" shot into the top-viewed comedy videos for 2010 after debuting December 18th. Joined by Akon and guest stars Jessica Alba, Blake Lively and John McEnroe, Andy and Jorma express their enjoyment of sex the only way they know how - through electronic R&B.
4. Boombox
In this inspirational SNL Digital Short from last spring, The Lonely Island and guest vocalist Julian Casablancas share the raw power of the boombox with a generation that has moved on to iPods and Zunes. A boombox is a beautiful thing, yes, but if you're thinking of taking one for a spin, make sure to watch until the end. There's an important cautionary lesson here.
5. Jimmy Kimmel Surprises a Bieber Fan
Jimmy Kimmel is generally (correctly) thought of as one of TV's biggest smartasses, but he has a soft side, too. Watch as he makes a tiny Bieber lover's dreams come true, and then helpfully assures her that the rest of her life will be crap compared to that moment.
6. Shawt Bus Shawty
OJ Da Juiceman, Waka Flocka Flame, and Gucci Mane get served in this animated rap parody, in which their lyrical styles are compared to those on the "short bus", the tiny bus that picks up special needs kids. You know what's even worse? The van. That should be the follow-up. "Van With Carrying School Children Sign Shorty".
7. BP Spills Coffee
The best topical comedy video of the year. Watching fictionalized BP executives deal with a minor coffee spill was just the dash of merriment we needed to feel slightly better about the summer's disastrous and never-ending oil spill. Then, ten minutes later, we went back to being sad. Being sad and watching Annoying Orange videos. Possibly related.
8. How To Trick People Into Thinking You're Good Looking
Jenna from barstoolsports.com shares this self-deprecating tutorial on makeup application. I mean, really, it's kind of disturbingly self-deprecating, to the point where you would feel sorry for her, but past that, to the point where you realize it can't possibly be sincere, and then you kind of start to get pissed at her. It's a journey.
9. Old Spice - I'm on a Horse
2010! The year of Old Spice. Between Isaiah Mustafa's smash-hit Super Bowl commercial and Terry Crews' high-octane line reads, America looked these commercials up online because we weren't content with how much we were seeing them on TV. I'd like to see a Chevy Truck commercial pull that off. The Super Bowl spot linked above, this later ad from the same series, and the Terry Crews "Flex" ad all ranked among YouTube's top viewed comedy videos in 2010.
10. Dancing Merengue Dog
This dog is dancing. And by that, I don't mean, this dog is flailing around semi-rhythmically. I mean this dog is doing a dance.
