What Is "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog"?:
Long ago, when George W. Bush was still president, the entire writer's guild went on strike. This resulted in a great multitude of bored writers and actors, unable to do anything without violating labor agreements. So they took to the streets and began beating people and mugging old ladies, not for the money but just for the thrill.
OK, I've just been informed that that's not what happened. Turns out that some of them, including Buffy creator Joss Whedon and the legendary Neil Patrick Harris, collaborated on Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, a musical about an aspiring supervillain, the girl at the laundromat he secretly loves, and his obnoxious do-gooder archenemy.
Everybody loved it, and they were all, "This is revolutionary! It's going to change distribution forever!" Then the strike ended and everybody went back to watching TV. But Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is still good. The end.
