Classic Comedy TV Quiz Show

From , former About.com Guide

The Match Game first appeared on network TV one afternoon in 1962 in a friendly, but rather traditional quiz show format. By the mid-1970s, the series underwent major reconfigurations to become a frenzied, snickering mother lode of sexual innuendo.

Host Gene Rayburn posed fill-in-the-blank questions to celebrity panelists, including regulars Charles Nelson Reilly, Brett Somers, Richard Dawson, Betty White, and Fannie Flagg. Their job was to provide the answers for audience contestants to match. These jokers always went for a laugh and the series became a popular comedy party.

At Match Game Wallpaper Factory, an extensive fan site, video clips and screen captures galore are on review. Plenty of computer wallpapers devoted to the personalities are ready to download, too. I had fun recalling the show and, now, may I, please, have my fabulous parting gifts?

I'm hoping for an Ekco Flint Server Knife Set.
