In the dark of night, a body is discovered on the floor of The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA. "The victim is the museum curator, Jacques Fromage. After he was harpooned, he put on a pair of rubber fishing waders and positioned himself with his hands raised like claws holding half a lemon and a can of tuna, all to send a message," police said.
To the rescue, local Professor of Symbology, Langdon Fife, "the son of a certain Deputy Sheriff from Mayberry, North Carolina." He joins forces with cryptologist Sopha Poisson "to uncover the clues hidden in the paintings of Norman Rockwell," explains the official movie site, "clues which will lead them to a secret society, a legendary bloodline and a battle with sinister forces."
The half-hour parody of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code is online for free viewing. It's an engaging send-up of the controversial story and a surprising, loving tribute to the memory of Don Knotts.
