Funniest Celebrity Photobombs

When you have your photo taken for a living, sometimes things get... weird.

There were lots of funny photos taken at the Inauguration of President Barack Obama on January 21, 2013, but my favorite image from the day had to be Bill Clinton's photobomb. As singer Kelly Clarkson sang her heart out, dear old Bill, the man, the meme, the legend, popped his head out and gave the camera a sly look. The image quickly went viral and is sure to become a staple in the meme lexicon.

For those of you not in the know, a photobomb is a picture that has been ruined, or bombed, by someone (or something) who jumps into the background or foreground. Usually these photo crashers make a silly face, but sometimes the bombing is accidental, which can be just as funny as the intentional bombs.

Last year I wrote a humor book about photobombs, so I know a thing or two about what constitutes a fabulous photobomb. A good photobomb can be orchestrated by just about anything, from your dog to a perfectly-timed image on a television over your shoulder. Since celebrities are in front of cameras more than the average person, it stands to reason that there would be no shortage of hilarious celebrity photobombs floating around on the internet.

Let's take a look at some celebrities who have been involved in a drive-by photobombing. These are some of my favorite images ever! Have fun.

1. The Bill Clinton Bomb

This photo, taken from video coverage of President Barack Obama's inauguration, shows former U.S. President (and known playboy) Bill Clinton seemingly oogling singer Kelly Clarkson. The image was uploaded to Twitter, where it immediately went viral and started inspiring memes. Mr. Clinton is no stranger to the meme world, having inspired the "Inappropriate Timing" meme in 2012 as well.

2. John Mayer Sees You

I love this one. Here we see some girls in a restaurant who were clearly trying to surrupticiously take a photo of musician John Mayer, seated behind them. Except Mayer knew what they were up to, so he starred blankly into their camera shot. We can only imagine how hard these girls laughed when they looked at the photo display and realized that they had been busted.

3. Jake Gyllenhaal Is Cray-Cray

It's nice to see a goofy side to actor Jake Gyllenhaal! Here he is photobombing acclaimed director Ang Lee and actress Uma Thurman.

4. Beatles Bomb

In what I believe to be one of the best photobombs of all time, Beatles legend Paul McCartney creeps up behind George Harrison.

5. Jack Black Bombs Angelina

At the premier of Kung Fu Panda, funnyman Jack Black decided to photobomb his costar, a very pregnant Angelina Jolie.

6. Kim and Kanye... And Some Random Dude

While ringing in the new year, celebrity couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were hilariously photobombed by this guy, whomever he may be.

7. Who Wants A Jolie and Zeta Jones Sandwich?

At the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, actor Michael Douglas photobombed his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Angelina Jolie. What is it about Angelina that makes everyone want to photobomb her?

8. Scariest Photobomb Ever?

Watch your back, Katy Perry. Lady Gaga looks like she's about to eat your soul!

9. Hermione, run!

At a Harry Potter premier, actress Emma Watson throws her head back in such a familiar way... we're not sure where we've seen that look before.....

10. Nicole Kidman Photobombs Herself

At the premier of her movie, The Others, actress Nicole Kidman made us see double.
