Can You Spell Regret? 20 Funny Misspelled Tattoos

We've seen our share of completely horrible (and inexplicable) tattoos, but there's nothing quite as cringeworthy as a tattoo that has thumbed its nose at the English language, like the ones in this gallery. The people who commissioned or created these works of ink "art" are the folks who never quite mastered homophones, spelling, punctuation, or even simple elementary school-level grammar. Yet they decided to head on into the tattoo parlor and have their ridiculous messages etched into their flesh for the rest of their lives.

To each his own, I guess! Just remember folks... think before you ink (and maybe Google it first, just to be sure.)

Remember when Matt Damon starred in that awesome movie, The Marshian? No? That's because it's spelled M-a-r-t-i-a-n.

Also, way to ruin a beloved childhood icon for me. "Marvin the Marshian" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

But if you insist on getting a Bon Jovi quote, at least get it right.
