Move over Side-Eying Chloe and Business Baby, there's a new pint-sized "internet famous" kid who made waves in the meme circuit after one funny picture hit the web. Everyone, please say hello to Pajama Kid!

Hey there, Pajama Kid.

Like a lot of good web memes, Pajama Kid was discovered over on the /r/funny subreddit. The photo of a young boy posing for his formal school portraits while wearing a complete set of SpongeBob Squarepants pajamas (along with a VERY grumpy facial expression) was uploaded by Redditor KillerKenyan in April of 2014.

The caption for the photo said it all: "Friend's mom mixed up pajama day and picture day. He was not pleased."

Clearly. The look on his face is priceless, and the internet immediately reacted.

Poor Pajama Kid! The situation must have been super embarrassing for him, but most of us can relate to both the overworked mom and to the kid's surly facial expression. It's almost as if his mom set him up for the supreme embarrassment of wearing PJs on a regular, non-PJ day at school. Thanks, Mom! We all felt bad for poor Pajama Kid, especially when people started Photoshopping the grumpy little dude into hilarious scenarios. His face is just the perfect snarky image to use whenever life hands us a heaping pile of suck. It's easy to see why he hit meme status pretty much instantly and took his rightful place among the best funny subreddits.

Now that it's as easy as uploading a picture to social media to gain internet notoriety, it makes sense that more cute kids are becoming internet famous every day.

What happens to the web generation when their 15 minutes of internet fame go away, but the photos of them with bad haircuts stay online forever? Let's find out by checking in with a group of (now-grown) faces behind the memes. Web celebs like Overly Attached Girlfriend and Bad Luck Brian seem to have maintained a pretty good sense of humor about their meme backgrounds.
