Lamenting the distinct lack of Chanukah carols, Adam Sandler took to the air on "Saturday Night Live's" "Weekend Update" (12/03/94) to present his contribution to the musical deficit. The audience's response was rousing and the song became a favorite. The comedian has since updated the lyrics on several occasions.
