Anyone living in small town America knows the sun rises and sets at the WAL-MART. Having nested in our rural area for four years, I confess this warehouse of good values and yellow smiley faces is often the social centerpiece of our days. And with a snazzy Super WAL-MART under construction nearby, we're all atwitter.

Here's an actual conversation with my wife.

Mike: Were you excited last night?

Donna: What?

Mike: On the new building, were you excited to see they turned the lights on in the big "WAL-MART" sign?

Donna: (long pause) No, Mike, I wasn't. Were you excited?

Mike: No, not at first, but by the time I got to the dash, you bet!
