Wacky Web Cartoons 4
by Mike Durrett

Meet the Millers
It's almost shocking in these days of the Political Incorrectness Police to watch this series of cartoons spoofing some unfortunate and seemingly unchallenged attitudes of a 1951 America. Presented in a recognizably bland, early television style, the Millers' brief adventures cruise to "happy" endings amidst giggly, sugar-coated morality plays, but the more disturbing cultural problems depicted here are ignored; therein lies the wit.

This Icebox show was created and written by David Zuckerman, a successful television scribe and producer ("Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "King of the Hill," "Family Guy"). While it is doubtful everyone will laugh at the humor or even recognize it as satire, perhaps some introspection will follow along with another deserving dent into the barriers that plague society.

The "Meet the Millers" link at the top of this page will take you to one cartoon at Icebox.com. For more, try Emery Emery.

You'll need Shockwave Flash to enjoy the Webtoons. Find free downloads here.
