A Funny Site of the Day with your Guide Mike Durrett


This duo of silent movie era enemies revel in the bonking traditions of Tom and Jerry and their pals in parody, Itchy and Scratchy. To date, three of the boys' short cartoons have surfaced: "Showtime Raspberries" (linked below at AtomFilms), "Ragtime Hit Parade" and "Solfeggio" (which are not currently available on the Net).

The latter is a tribute to comedian Ernie Kovacs, who became famous on television 30 years after Googly and Spiffy supposedly made this film. Go figure. That's cartoons for ya.

Goog and Spiff send-up Kovacs' famous Nairobi Trio bit in a faithful rendering of that classic routine, obviously a favorite of the animaton team at Camp Chaos.
