This riot of complete comedy motion pictures contains mostly public domain titles,
nevertheless, there's some solid online viewing. Among the dozens of films, Laurel and
Hardy's "Flying Deuces" (1939), Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell's "His Girl
Friday" (1943), Danny Kaye's "The Inspector General" (1949), and Bob Hope's
"My Favorite Brunette" (1949) and "Road to Bali" (1952).
A good selection of animated cartoons are represented by Betty Boop, Gumby, Popeye and The Three Stooges.
The Classic TV section offers assorted funnies highlighted by multiple episodes of the rare 1957-58 Betty White sitcom "Date With the Angels," plus "America's favorite family" on "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." "You Bet Your Life" with Groucho Marx, "Trouble With Father," "The Burns and Allen Show," "The Jack Benny Program," "The Lucy Show" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show" are available, too.
Playback is best with broadband access (cable,
xDSL, T-1 or wireless broadband), but may still be disappointing. I connected with DSL and
was subject to essentially radio with an occasional new image. Even
so, there's still enjoyment in many of these rare gems.
