This sly nine-minute spoof of the Oscar-winning "Shakespeare in Love" commingles elements of that lark with the pressurized imagination of a certain 1967 University of Southern California film student. He's bent on scripting an outer space adventure, engagingly inspired by a bun-haired lass' boost to "just write what you know."

Charming and clever from frame one to black-out, the 1999 homage to "Star Wars" is a multiple film festival awards champion and deservedly so. The ending is perfect.

Unfortunately, at this writing, "George Lucas in Love" is no longer available for Internet viewing; however, it may be found for home video purchases.
