Late last night, driving up the rural state road which stretches beneath serious blackness and twinkly stars to our home in the forest, I spent the worst part of 50 lonely miles listening to "The Art Bell Show" on the radio. I hate when I do that. It's hard to keep the Saturn on the highway with all my quivering and sky watching.

Art talked of conspiracies and outer space. He scared the willies out of me. Something's up.

--Oh, my, god. Saturn, I drive a Saturn!

Great. I'm a beacon.

I just know I'm going to be one of those guys -- even though I don't wear coveralls and answer to "Zeb" -- who gets his Earthling car and half empty bottle of pop plucked up and away by a whirling UFO while trying to outrun the darn thing through a swamp gas bog echoey with my dulcet falsetto arias of "EEEEAAAAAAHGH-AAAAAAAAAAH YI-YI-AAAAAA GGGHHAA-AAAAEEEAAAA AGHGPHTBAAAAGGAAAAAAA-AAAGGGGBBB EEEEEEEAAAAHHH-GGGAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAA!!"

Those might not be the exact words, but close. I'd be having a massive seizure. I wouldn't have been professionally rehearsed, and I have yet to be shown the sheet music.

Fortunately, I did arrive at the house unscathed, where I hurried through a medley of aspirins, half a different bottle of pop and a Tic-Tac (wintergreen) as I logged onto the Internet. I began searching for verification -- the truth, man, the truth. Shortly before dawn, wild with dread, I found something. A cryptic message.

Let me quote the salient points: "Protect the Bunnioids from the evil Astro-Blobs ... Fire at the evil Astro-Blobs ... Stop them before they abduct the Bunnioids."

YOU must stop them! It's up to you!
