A Funny Site of the Day with your Guide Mike Durrett
EarthStation1 may be familiar to you. We've featured it before on special occasions and,
digging deep inside, its specific pages have provided wonderful, laughable fodder for our
Today's Sounds recommendations.
For me, this gigantic audio clip (and visual) museum may be the most indispensable one of all. It would be difficult to find another site with a wider range of content, providing much of what you'd expect, but also including eye-opening rarities and strangeness. There are the Movie, Radio, TV, Cartoon, and Effects sound bites we crave, plus straightforward historical recordings from, among others, WWII, the Hindenburg crash, Apollo 11, John F. Kennedy, Winston Churchill, the Vietnam war, and UFOs -- with Orson Welles' notorious "War of the Worlds" thrown in, too.
As for .WAV, .MP3, and RealAudio Comedy, these collections demand your attention:
Audio Weirdness
TV
Movie
Radio
Marx Bros.
Austin Powers Media
Warner Bros. Cartoons
Monty Python
Jerky Boys
Sound Effects
