Born 1937: Linda Lavin, actress, "Barney Miller," TV's "Alice."

Born 1942: Penny Marshall, actress, film director, TV's "The Odd Couple," "The Bob Newhart Show," "Laverne & Shirley," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Big," "A League of Their Own."
