Born 1914: Hillary Brooke, actress, best remembered as the gal pal of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in their nutty early 1950s sitcom and as Roberta Townsend on "My Little Margie." Her films include "Road to Utopia," "Monsieur Beaucaire," "The Fuller Brush Man," "Africa Screams," "Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd." Died 1999.

Born 1922: Sid Caesar, comedian, actor, "Your Show of Shows," "Caesar's Hour," "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World," "The Busy Body," "Silent Movie," "Fire Sale," "The Cheap Detective," "Grease," "History of the World Part I," "Grease 2," "Vegas Vacation."

Born 1940: Willie Tyler, ventriloquist with his happening buddy, Lester.

Born 1981: Jonathan Taylor Thomas, actor, Randy on "Home Improvement" and the voice of young Simba in "The Lion King."
