Born 1919: Howard Morris, comedian, actor, "Your Show of Shows," "Caesar's Hour," Ernest T. Bass on "The Andy Griffith Show," "Boy's Night Out," "The Nutty Professor" (1963), "High Anxiety," "History of the World Part 1," and longtime voice artist at the Hanna-Barbera cartoon studio. As a director, he helmed episodes of "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Andy Griffith Show, "The Danny Thomas Show," "Bewitched," "Get Smart," "Hogan's Heroes," and "The Love Boat;" his films include "With Six You Get Eggroll," "Who's Minding the Mint?" and "Don't Drink the Water" (1969).

Born 1928: Dick York, actor, "My Sister Eileen," "Operation Mad Ball," TV's "Going My Way," the original Darrin on "Bewitched." Died 1992.
