Born 1924: George Kirby, comedian, impressionist. Died 1995.

Born 1927: Jerry Stiller, comedian, actor, "Seinfeld," "King of Queens." One half of long-running comedy team with wife, Anne Meara. Father of Ben Stiller.

Born 1933: Joan Rivers, comedian. Her film as a writer and director, "Rabbit Test," stars Billy Crystal as the world's first pregnant man.

Born 1944: Don Grady, actor, Robbie Douglas on "My Three Sons."

1948: "Texaco Star Theatre" premiered on NBC, ultimately making host Milton Berle TV's first superstar and giving him his nicknames, "Uncle Miltie" and "Mr. Television."

Born 1957: Scott Adams, cartoonist, creator of "Dilbert."

Born 1958: Keenen Ivory Wayans, comedian, actor, film director, writer, producer, "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka," "In Living Color," "Scary Movie 2."
