1945: Newcomer Yosemite Sam blasted his way onto movie screens in "Hare Trigger" from Warner Bros.

1949: "You Bet Your Life" host Groucho Marx received the George Foster Peabody Award for Broadcasting.

Born 1951: Tony Danza, actor, "Taxi," "Who's the Boss?"

Born 1970: Nicole Sullivan, comedian, "MAD-TV."

1977: Little Orphan Annie moved to Broadway. The musical comedy "Annie" opened.

1982: The final episode of "WKRP in Cincinnati" aired on CBS-TV.
