Born 1923: Bob Elliott, comedian, one-half of the Bob and Ray comedy team. His acting roles include "Cold Turkey" (1971) and "Get a Life" (1990-92). Chris Elliott's father.

Born 1934: Alan Arkin, actor, "The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming!" (1966), "Inspector Clouseau" (1968), "Popi" (1969), "Catch-22" (1970), "Little Murder" (1971), "Freebie and the Bean" (1974), "The In-Laws" (1979), "America's Sweethearts" (2001). Father of Adam Arkin.
