Born 1907: Cesar Romero, actor, "Batman's" TV Joker (1966-68). His comedic films include "Donovan's Reef" (1963) and "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" (1969). Died 1994.

Born 1916: Mary Jane Croft, comic character actress, frequently featured on TV's "Our Miss Brooks," "I Married Joan," "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," "I Love Lucy," "The People's Choice" (voice of Cleo the Basset Hound), "The Lucy Show," and "Here's Lucy." Died 1999.

Born 1927: Harvey Korman, actor and sketch comedian, "The Danny Kaye Show" (1963-67), "The Carol Burnett Show" (1967-78), and "Mama's Family" (1983-85). His movies include "Blazing Saddles" (1974), "High Anxiety" (1978), and "The Flintstones in Viva Las Vegas" (2000).

Born 1942: Sherry Jackson, actress, played the oldest daughter, Terry Williams, on TV sitcom "Make Room for Daddy" (1953-58).

Born 1947: Rusty Hamer, actor, played the son on "Make Room for Daddy" (1953-65). Died 1990.

Born 1954: Matt Groening, cartoonist, "Life in Hell," and creator of TV's "The Simpsons" and "Futurama."

Born 1964: Chris Farley, comic actor, regular on "Saturday Night Live" (1990-95). Among his movies: "Tommy Boy" (1995) and "Beverly Hills Ninja" (1997). Died 1997.

1967: Opening in movie theatres, Rosalind Russell and Jonathan Winters in "Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feeling So Sad."
