Movie images race by so fast, most viewers never catch the on-screen errors blown up before their eyes. Part of the magic of filmmaking is the willingness of the audience to ignore reality; however, some items are too obvious not to be noticed.

This site, using snaps captured from the actual productions, illustrates what are generally continuity glitches, problems that aren't grasped until long after the cameras have gone home.

Several of the examples border on nitpicking. It is a genuine blunder to see Ace Ventura hover over a full chess board in one shot and, then, all of the pieces are mysteriously gone in the next. It's quite another situation to discredit the pane of safety glass separating Harrison Ford's face from a very alive python inches away.

Still, it's fun to uncover these "mistakes" from dozens of major motion pictures.
