Happy 4th of July

Create Your Own Fireworks Show

Here in the United States, it's Independence Day.

On this occasion, we reflect on what it is to be an American and remember our predecessors who gallantly paved the paths so we might have better lives and the freedom to take a day off and eat potato salad and drink beer and play.

As important as the Christmas tree is to its holiday, our July 4th festivities MUST include the boisterous clamor and colorful sky splashes afforded by fireworks blazing through a summer night.

I know it's not the same, but a virtual fireworks display on your computer screen can be fun, too. Here's a good one from Aristotle; customize it to your preferences. You'll need the Shockwave plug-in, if you don't already have it installed.

Check around Aristotle's site for some additional July 4th goodies to enhance your holiday spirit.

Now, bring the potato salad to me.
