Uncle Pigors Spookhouse

Toxic Toons' Hell Motel

From , former About.com Guide

What Is This?: Every day and nightmare is Halloween in Uncle Pigors Spookhouse, a grotesque crib of the undead, festering in nauseous horrors, and spare meat. Quicky Flash animations (given life by Karl Fornander) highlight the tour, and a big gallery of sinister sketches is full of guilty pleasures for wild-eyed rubberneckers.

Meet the Homeys: Barfboy, Buttboy, Ghouly Girls, Muncher, Bugs, and Tooby Huffenstien. Next, Walk the Spook, hear repugnant jokes, and ride the Toxic Go-Kart. There's no way to amply explain these beastly bits. They must be experienced to be reviled/enjoyed.

Who Do We Lynch?: Cartoonist Eric Pigors is the demented doodler at Toxic Toons. His work is reminiscent of Gahan Wilson, Charles Addams, John Kricfalusi, and Tim Burton all rolled into nut, but he'd say his influences include Dr. Seuss, Rat Fink, "MAD," Warner Bros. cartoons, Tex Avery, and that darkest evil: Woody Woodpecker.

What I Like: Uncle Pigors Spookhouse is disturbing, offensive, and socially incorrect, yet it made me laugh out loud several times. I found the loving, detailed drawings and whacked wit oddly refreshing, seeped in style and creative joy. Besides, what's not to like about punk puke?

Content Advisory: The Spookhouse is not for anyone! I say that as fair warning and to halt the email yelling. It features foul language, foul souls, and foul acts. On one hand, no one should be attracted to such depravity. The other hand may be covering your mouth and chortles.
