Tigershack - Tiger Woods in Caddyshack TV Commercial
(2004) Every generation, film moguls remake the true classics, so now is the time for National Lampoon's Caddyshack (1980). Tiger Woods is Carl Spackler, the wily greenskeeper given life and speech goofiness by Bill Murray. American Express explains the TV commercial's premise: "Gophers and golf don't mix. No one knows this better than golf great Tiger Woods. So when Tiger
sees the destructive little fur ball from Caddyshack tearing up his home turf, he takes matters into his own hands."
Review:
The original Caddyshack is one of those happy Hollywood accidents, a slapped together, largely adlibbed film which became a popular hit and beloved entertainment. To see it remade in a 60-second version at Visit4Info and YouTube is a bit puzzling and startling, but it grew on me. I'm alright. For I see the big picture, the triumphant return to the screen of the most underappreciated comedian of the late 20th century: Mr. Gopher! Sheer genius and boogying, that's my rodent.
