"It's Thanksgiving" Goes Viral; Is The New "Friday"

By November 12, 2012

Follow me on:

I'm really sorry if I am the one who is going to break this news for you.  Honestly, I apologize.   Please don't shoot the messenger.

Remember "Friday," the Rebecca Black earworm that plagued us throughout most of 2011?  Well, there's a new song written and produced by the same guy, featuring a brand new tween wannabe singer, and it is going viral as we speak.  In spite of the fact that the song is absolutely terrible, currently almost 4 million people have watched the YouTube video for Nicole Westbrook's stinker, "It's Thanksgiving." Four.  Million.  Hits.

Not only is the song, with its ludicrous lyrics, copious auto-tune, and horrible rap segments, as bad as you'd expect it to be, but the video is... just embarrassingly bad.  Unless watching an adolescent girl sing into a turkey drumstick is your "thing," of course, in which case you will love it.  (Also, your "thing" is weird, but you probably already knew that.)

It's Thanksgiving still

As you can imagine, the memes are already starting.  Brace yourself, Nicole, because you're in for a lot of teasing.  Like, a lot-a lot.  Good luck with that.

I had made it this long without ever being the victim of ‘Friday’ but I think the impact of seeing these both for the first time back to back is cruel and unusual.
I guess I found my motivation for staying more current. Spread out the suck!

Frank, I said I was sorry! :-)

Linda, I like the idea of spreading out the suck. But. as your guide to humor, I could not avoid this piece of viral goodness! She’s singing into a turkey leg, damn it! That’s gold, Jerry. Gold!
