This week the e-world is collectively giggling over one of our favorite movie stars, Brad Pitt, looking extraordinarily foolish in his newest commercial money-grab for Chanel No.5. The ad, which features a ruggedly handsome Pitt rambling uncomfortably in an empty room about... something or other, was hilariously spoofed on last week's Saturday Night Live. "Is it just me, or do I look super-homeless?"
SNL cast member Taran Killam nailed it, right? I'd feel bad for making fun of Brad, who seems like a decent enough guy, but then again... Pitt made $7 million on this Chanel spot. Seven million dollars. Yeah, I don't feel so bad for picking on him, and I'd venture to say that I'd look as foolish as Chanel wanted me to look for even half of that money. I'd be all, "What's that? You want me to wear a chicken costume while riding a tricycle down the middle of a crowded city street? Okay! Where do I sign?"
So rock on with your mumbling, unintelligible self, Brad. He's still really, really, ridiculously good looking, not to mention rich, so who's laughing now?
