Hilarious Christmas Raps We Can't Stop Singing

There's a Christmas version of everything. A Charlie Brown Christmas, Christmas cocktails, Christmas mass, Christmas sweaters (the uglier the better!), Christmas lights, Christmas crafts (and fails!), and so forth. Of course, music is no exception to the all-Christmas-everything rule, but the juxtaposition of the warm, family feeling of the Christmas season and the "freshness" of rap (to borrow some early '90s slang for a moment) means that Christmas raps must also have some camp value or inherent irony. It's like rapping about Gerber's baby food or Snow White. Here are fifteen funny Christmas rap videos that take full advantage of the natural absurdity of mixing rap with Christmas.

Scrooge vs The Grinch. Epic Rap Battles of Christmas

It's an epic battle of Christmas stereotypes! On one side we've got those two notoriously anti-Christmas meanies, Scrooge and The Grinch. On the other side of the rap battle we've got everybody's favorite jolly old elf, St. Nick himself.

Who will win? You'll have to watch the video to make the call... but you know our money's always on Mr. C.

The Holderness Family: Christmas Jammies

After their spoof "All About That Baste" put the delightfully goofy Holderness family on the map, they followed that success up with this funky holiday rap about Christmas jammies. This spoof of Will Smith's song"Miami" went seriously viral, and with good reason: It's hilarious!

Santa Raps SO Fast!!! (NEW WORLD RECORD!)

How fast is Mac Lethal's Santa rap? So fast that it earned itself a new world record! Now that's impressive. Check it out!

GRINCH RAP!! Featuring Shay Carl

This rap was produced by the always-excellent Mockstars on YouTube, who are known for creating rap versions of popular movies, TV shows, songs, and pop culture in general.

This is The Grinch like you (and Dr. Suess!) have never seen him before. You've got to love a well-thought out YouTube video with good production value.

Funny Rap by Santa and the Family

According to the YouTuber who uploaded this video, it's a remake of the Christmas Rap the movie "Beat Street."

Mother Nature Holiday Rap

Canadians as a whole are not known for their rapping skills, despite the proximity of the nation to Detroit and the ascendant Ontarian rapper Shad. I mean, try to imagine Geddy Lee rapping. I'm imagining it right now and it's hysterical. But that disadvantage doesn't stop these two from expressing their frustration with Canada's winter weather via rap. Dangerously catchy.

I Rock Onesies

This song isn't really about Christmas, but there is a Christmas tree in the video. And it's amazing. So here is a tribute to the coolest, most gangsta variety of pajamas which does not mention Christmas in the lyrics. Deal with it.

Beat Street: Santa's Rap

In this clip from the 1984 film Beat Street, Santa and two poor kids (all portrayed by the rap group Treacherous Three) rap-argue over St. Nick's competency in spreading Christmas joy, while some nutcrackers pull off sweet '80s dance moves. High camp value.

The Holderness Family: #Elfed

The Holderness Family did it again with this funny spoof of Kendrick Lamar's song, "I love myself." This time, they're being goofy AF out in public, running up to people at gas stations to dance crazily in elf costumes. Worth a look, don't you think?

Ce-Real Christmas Rap 2007

Parody rap group Ce-Real performs a self-aggrandizing rap about Christmas, featuring their signature yuletide dance move, the Christmas Clap. [Insert self-authoring gonorrhea joke here.]

Amsterdam Christmas

You ever wonder how they celebrate Christmas in the Netherlands? No? Well, it's pretty insane. I can't really get into it here, but for a primer, watch this parody of Run D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis" from Amsterdam-based comedy troupe Boom Chicago, wherein Sinterklaas's helper the Black Peter bemoans his holiday duties.

White Christmas Rap

This video opens with Batman fighting the Joker, who plans to plunge New York into chaos by denying it a Christmas-themed Broadway musical. Enter Phil Davis, protagonist of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, to save the day by promoting the musical's run on Broadway with a parody of Eminem's "Without Me". Weird.

That's Christmas

This rap will teach you exactly what things "Are Christmas". And I don't mean to alarm any traditionalists, but I don't think Jesus's birth is mentioned. This funny, well-edited, and bizarre video is almost like a lost SNL Digital Short. One of the guys even kind of looks like Andy Samberg.

All I Want For Christmas

Words fail me, so I'll just throw a few out: "Eclectic." "Incomprehensible." "Amazing." "Inexplicable." "Fat Guy."

Dogs On My Sweata (NSFW)

This rap comedy short is all about that glorious holiday favorite: The ugly Christmas sweater. These sweaters (or sweatahs, as they say in the song) have dogs on them, so you know they're cool.

Warning: This video is NSFW due to explicit language.

Secondary Warning: This song is really catchy, so you'll likely be singing along to those explicit lyrics whether you like it or not!
