Joost - Pro TV, Movies, Short Comedy Videos

The Funny Site of the Day -- The video portal is now Web-based, no longer requiring a separately downloaded player, assuming you already have Flash. Joost prides itself in streaming professionally produced entertainment, much like competitor Hulu. Many of the selections are available elsewhere, so the content differentiation of Joost is hazy.

Let's check the comedy menu. A mixture of full TV episodes and/or clips include titles as varied as How I Met Your Mother, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Late Night With David Letterman, Family Ties, Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, MADtv, Silver Spoons, Punk'd, Californication, Strangers With Candy, and NewsRadio.

There are also stocked channels dedicated to sketch and short-form comedy, stand-ups, old movies, and animation (Space Ghost, Ren & Stimpy, Fat Albert).

Joost is befuddling to navigate quickly, so I won't be back often, but if you can maneuver around to suit yourself, there are plenty of laughs to compute.
