The Funny Site of the Day -- Times Online has spotted a new Internet microtrend: failure, as seen in a proliferation of failure blogs, featuring photo funnies in the vein of the LOLcats craze.

"The format is simple: an image of human (or animal) hubris or stupidity, with the word 'FAIL' written across it. It evolved in message boards and forums. The term 'fail' (and its opposite, 'win') has been around for a long time, but FAILcats (for want of a better word) have only been 'popular for a few months. The superlative of 'fail' is 'Epic Fail.'"
