Sarcasm Society

Sunday May 27, 2007
The Funny Site of the Day -- Gleaned from the site:
"Quite often sarcasm is mistaken for irony; however, sarcasm is a form of irony which uses sharp wit to highlight the obviousness, stupidity, or annoyance-factor of a situation. One main difference between irony and sarcasm is that irony is generally observed and sarcasm is generally created (i.e. spoken, written)."
The Sarcasm Society spends a fair amount of space elaborating on the intellectual properties of its namesake, especially in the tutorials, "How to be Sarcastic" and "How To Recognize Irony." The joy comes from the sharing of examples, either in the visitors' forum or the collected sarcastic quotations and occasional haiku.

Oo, I am so informative.
