From Mike Durrett, for About.com

The Little Dutch Humor Boy

Monday October 23, 2006
It truly is a world-wide Web. I learned this fact recently when Wouter E. Nieuwenhuis of the news portal Planet.nl requested an interview. I was delighted to be asked and we exchanged several pleasant emails. His article has been published online in Dutch.

Since I am regularly lost in translation within my English tongue, I certainly don't know what to expect from this foreign dialogue. I know what I typed, however I don't know what I've said in the conversion. Perhaps U.N. stormtroopers will soon materialize at my door? Have I invited everybody to The New World for a kegger? Or will the chain of events incite Madonna to purchase me to be raised by her nanny? I have no idea, but grand people of the Netherlands: I salute you! I love you! I mean you no harm! I come in peace!

Read the interview, if you can, Mike Durrett: de Humor Gids, or visit AltaVista's Babel Fish tool for a do-it-yourself language decoding. That Dutch-to-English translation is wild, sounding much like me on my dates.
