Comedy Movie Preview: 'Ice Age 2: The Meltdown'

Saturday February 11, 2006
The Funny Site of the Day -- Stop the presses! 20th Century-Fox historians reveal their startling new findings:
"Manny, Sid, and Diego return in another incredible adventure. The Ice Age is coming to an end, and the animals are delighting in their new world: a melting paradise of water parks, geysers, and tar pits. But when Manny, Sid, and Diego discover that the miles of melted ice will flood their valley, they must warn everyone and somehow figure out a way to escape the coming deluge."
Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Denis Leary reprise their popular cartoon mammoth, sloth, and smilodon characters, joined by Queen Latifah as Ellie, the female wooly mammoth. Sounds like the heat is on. Also returning, the intrepid squirrel-rat, Scrat (director Chris Wedge), searching for elusive acorns. Merely mention the name "Scrat" at our house and we're there.

At the official "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown" movie site, things haven't exactly thawed into a full presentation, yet, although a cool, chuckle-filled coming attractions trailer is ready to warm your funny bone. In it, see snippets from the flick and a longer sequence prominently featuring: Scrat!

I'm there.
