'Big Top' Comic Strip

THE FUNNY SITE OF THE DAY -- Cartoonist Rob Harrell's ''years as a sideshow freak (Zothar the Human Tree Frog) made the circus setting a natural choice'' for his daily comic strip. Distributor uComics says the family-friendly "Big Top" centers on Pete, "a 10-year-old boy growing up in the circus. Not only has he just begun to earn his keep, but he's beginning to notice girls -- and the unexpected ways they make him behave. Pete is surprised and occasionally disgusted by the ways of the world around him, but with the help of his good friends Wink [the Bear] and Kingston [the Lion], he maintains a healthy innocence." Other characters include acrobatic Andrea, monkey Manfred, and "part clown and part hell spawn" Stucco.
